The establishment of the Health Physics Division (HPD) is to supervise the radiation protection for the operation of nuclear and the radioisotope production facilities. During the past decades, the HPD is to support teaching activities, research, and technical services well beyond national Tsing Hua University. The main responsibilities of HPD are radiation control, personnel dosimetry, radioactive environmental monitoring, radiation survey instrument calibration, and radioactive waste management.
